We Did the Maths: 40,000 plastic bottles saved with Going Nude

It’s been just over a year since we started Go Nude.

Not because the world needed another cleaning brand - but because we were over paying $13+ for a “natural” bench spray that didn’t deliver.

Over filling our homes and clothes with EDC and VOC-fuelled cleaning products.

Over products filled with asthma-triggering ingredients and fake fragrance.
Over “natural” cleaners that didn’t actually clean.
Over homes and hands smelling like chemicals.

We wanted something that felt better to use.
Looked better in the home.

And actually worked - streak-free finish, with no compromise.

So we made our own.

And the numbers that made us stop (and smile)

This week, we sat down and did the maths on our first year. And honestly… we got a little emotional.

Together, in just over a year, we’ve helped avoid 39,240 single-use plastic bottles.

Nearly 40,000 bottles that were never made, never shipped, never thrown away.

To put it into perspective… the average Australian generates over 100kg of plastic waste every year - much of it single-use, used once and gone.

That’s over 2.3 tonnes of plastic avoided - the equivalent of an entire year of plastic waste for more than 23 Australians.

All from switching to refills.

How it actually happened

It wasn’t one big change.
It was a series of small, smarter ones.

Starting with our 150ml concentrates -
three refills from one small bottle.

Then moving to our 250ml pouches -
five refills, less packaging, better value.

And for those fully in, our 1 litre concentrates -
nine refills, designed for homes that have made the switch.

No overwhelm.
No big lifestyle shift.

Just… better cleaning, on repeat.

What Going Nude looks like

7,800+ concentrates sold
That’s thousands of bottles’ worth of cleaning power - packed small, shipped smart, and designed to not only last but make natural cleaning economical for you.

39,240 single-use plastic bottles saved from  landfill
This is the one that gets us. Every refill means one less plastic bottle in your home - and one less in the system.

5,000+ homes living cleaner
Homes across Australia and New Zealand choosing to strip back harsh chemicals, hormone-disrupting ingredients, and synthetic fragrance - without sacrificing performance.

What this actually means

Because this was always bigger than cleaning.

It’s walking into your home and not being hit with that harsh chemical smell.
It’s cleaning your kitchen without wondering what you’re breathing in.
It’s products that feel considered - not hidden under the sink.

Every time you refill, you’re:

Stripping back unnecessary chemicals.
Cutting down plastic without even thinking about it.
Creating a home that actually feels good to be in.

It might seem small.

But clearly - it isn’t.

And it’s being noticed

As Yahoo Lifestyle put it:

“Two friends have created a cleaning brand that is free of the chemicals that can disrupt hormones and health conditions.” Calling Go Nude a “$6 solution to the most hated chemical-fuelled household chore.”

And from our community:

“Their reusable bottles are such a great way to reduce waste while still keeping everything looking sleek and cohesive. It’s a win-win.”

We’re not done yet

We’re not stopping at 39,240 bottles.

In 2026, we’re aiming to quadruple this.

More homes.
More refills.
More people realising you don’t have to choose between low-tox and actually clean.

Because the goal was never to be the “better” option.

It was to make the sustainable choice the obvious one.
The beautiful one.
The one that just makes sense.

Thank you (really)

None of this happens without you.

The ones who made the switch.
Who refilled instead of replaced.
Who cared about what’s in their home.

From us — thank you.

For every bottle you’ve refilled.
Every friend you’ve told.
Every shelf that now looks (and feels) better.

We’re just getting started and think you’re about to have a lot more neighbours Going Nude...
