That was the feeling we wanted to capture when we created our Gentle Laundry Wash.
Not the sharp, overpowering idea of “fresh” that comes from conventional laundry products.
Something softer.
Cleaner.
More natural.
Something that feels like slipping into freshly washed sheets at the end of a warm spring evening.
Why we made it
Laundry detergent was one of the hardest things for us to rethink.
We had already started questioning the products we used throughout our homes — the sprays, cleaners and everyday formulas that surrounded us — but laundry felt different.
Because laundry isn't just something you clean.
It's what sits against your skin all day.
It's what you sleep in.
It's what your baby wears.
It's your towels, your delicates, your sheets and everything that becomes part of your everyday environment.
We wanted a laundry formula that could clean properly without relying on harsh cleaning systems or overpowering synthetic fragrance to create the feeling of freshness.
So we started again.
Cleaning without the chemical noise
At the heart of Gentle Laundry Wash is an advanced plant-powered multi-enzyme system combining Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Mannanase and Cellulase.
These enzymes help break down everyday stains from sweat, oils, food and dirt, allowing the formula to clean effectively without needing an unnecessarily aggressive approach.
The formula is supported by biodegradable, plant-based surfactants including Methyl Ester Sulfonate, Lauryl Glucoside and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, alongside vegetable-derived humectants and naturally occurring salts.
It's concentrated, too.
Just 10–15ml is needed per load, meaning our 1 litre formula can wash up to 100 loads.
Less product.
Less packaging.
Less sitting in your laundry cupboard.
And then there was the scent.
This was the part we became a little obsessed with.
We didn't want laundry to smell like perfume.
We wanted it to smell like laundry.
Like cotton warmed by the sun.
Like opening the windows on the first warm evening of spring.
Like walking through a garden just as the flowers begin releasing their scent into the evening air.
The starting point was Magnolia Champaca.
There was a tree we kept noticing on evening walks through the leafy garden suburbs of New South Wales. Its scent seemed to reveal itself as the day faded — soft, floral and almost euphoric.
It smelled like the feeling we wanted our laundry to have.
We built the fragrance around it.
Bergamot and Mandarin bring a light citrus brightness.
Green Tea adds a crisp, airy freshness.
Frankincense and Clary Sage create a gentle herbaceous warmth.
Amber and Ho Wood settle into the fabric with a soft, almost skin-like depth.
Together, they create something deliberately subtle.
Not a fragrance that fills the room before you enter it.
A scent that stays close to the fabric.
Soft.
Clean.
Comforting.
Quietly addictive.

Gentle Laundry Wash is scented only with a low-dose botanical aroma composition derived from essential oils, with no synthetic fragrance.
It's designed for everyday laundry, including baby clothes, delicates and sensitive skin.
It's front-loader and top-loader compatible, suitable for cold and warm washes, and concentrated to minimise unnecessary waste.
Because we don't think clean needs to be loud.
We don't think your sheets need to smell like a bottle of perfume.
And we don't think you should have to choose between a laundry wash that actually works and one that feels considered.
We wanted something that could do both.
